Foundation

Kirtan Ministries Foundation is established for public charitable purposes, namely advancement of spirituality, relief of poverty and advancement of education. 

Such purposes include: 

  1.   to promote the Hindu religion and bring the awareness of God back into the community and to teach the word of Brahma, the Divine Creator.
  2.   promoting the holy Bhagavad Gita and awareness of other sacred Hindu scriptures and teachings, The Vedas and The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali.
  3.   to encourage and teach chanting/kirtan and meditation which leads to mental/emotional balance, the experience of inner joy, peace and a deeper connection with the Divine
  4.   to encourage the process of spiritual awakening and personal transformation in everyone and raise the level of consciousness in society.
  5.   to promote and nurture a deeper sense of community and unity, at all levels of society. To develop a sense of universal brotherhood, love and respect for all beings.
  6.   to foster and study the teachings of the great sages of India, especially those of the lineage of Shanti Mandir : Bhagavan Nityananda, Swami Muktananda and Mahamandaleshwar Swami Nityananda, and to receive other teachers of the tradition. 
  7.   to provide education or fund schools teachers, teaching materials and/or other educational activities that continue the Vedic tradition through teaching the Vedic way of life and the philosophy of The Bhagavad Gita, Vedanta and The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali. 
  8.   to undertake charitable works and selfless service for the relief of poverty, sickness, suffering, distress, misfortune or destitution including without limitation by supporting and promoting the charitable projects instituted or supported by Shanti Mandir, and other persons and organisations whose intent aligns with ours. 
  9.   teaching the principles of natural healing and self-care through Ayurveda, homeopathy, diet and nutrition.
  10.   any other purpose necessary and convenient to achieve the above objects.
